Lessons

I thoroughly enjoy teaching drums, music reading, and musicianship to all levels of players. I have a unique perspective of techniques, approaches and practices derived from what's been handed down from my family heritage, as well as from over 35 years of professional playing.

Depending on the students experience, I teach rudiments (standardized fundamental rhythms), exercises, how to play with a click/metronome, patterns, feels, pockets, grooves, tuning, equipment care, and much more.

For my more experienced students, I consider what I do to be more coaching and helping the subject become the best they can be. An unbiased and honest consultant to help focus on the areas known or previously unknown.
